Understand the concepts of flood hazard mapping, flood exposure mapping, flood vulnerability mapping and flood impact. Furthermore, an overview of different approaches to flood hazard simulations will be presented, including static and hydrodynamic (2D and 1D-2D) flood simulation approaches. You will be able to understand the value and do’s and don’ts of the different approaches, for different use cases and contextual conditions.
