The Climate Risk Database (CRD) is an open geospatial platform of the Resilience Academy that consolidates climate, hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and infrastructure data for Tanzania.
This session has two parts:
- The first introduces the CRD as a shared resource: its scope, contributors, and applications in research, planning, and policy across Tanzanian cities.
- The second is a live walkthrough of the platform — searching the catalogue, opening interactive maps, downloading datasets for offline analysis, and contributing data back to the community.
The session is open to participants from any background and requires no prior GIS experience.
