Climate Risk Database (CRD): Finding, Using and Sharing Open Climate Risk Data

The Climate Risk Database (crd.resilienceacademy.ac.tz) is the open geospatial data platform of the Resilience Academy. It brings together datasets, maps and documents about climate hazards, exposure and vulnerability in Tanzanian cities, contributed by universities, government partners, researchers and students. This course takes participants from their first visit to the website to independent work with the data. They create an account, search and explore data, download and cite it, connect to it from QGIS, contribute their own data with complete metadata, build maps, GeoStories and dashboards, and join the CRD community. The course ends with a capstone task in which each participant answers a real climate risk question with CRD data.
